VCA Animal Hospitals to launch idea incubator

Network of animal hospitals and part of Mars Veterinary Health, VCA Animal Hospitals, has created an initiative to foster innovation. IdeaPark will include a rotation of general practice facilities that will act as incubators for new ideas while also providing care.
"Our goal with IdeaPark is to develop and pilot new programs that can be put into action across the broader VCA hospital networks and, once proven, shared with the wider industry," said Garrett Lewis, chief operating officer for VCA. "Through this focus on innovation, we have an opportunity to make a major contribution to our organization and deliver on our responsibility to support our industry. We're ready to address big challenges, take advantage of trends, and pioneer new ways of doing business."
IdeaPark will focus on three initiatives: increasing sustainable capacity, enhanced efficiency and convenience, and ways to reduce stress for patients, clients, and caregivers. Facilities will rotate on 2-3 year schedules. The initial IdeaPark hospitals will be in Atlanta, Denver, and Loss Angeles.
