Viticus Group, the largest free-standing combined animal and human health training and continuing education organization in the world, has launched a new podcast for veterinary professionals called VetSOAP. Eight episodes were produced, covering the introduction of VetSOAP, a half century of veterinary medicine and who’s gaining traction on the pet leaderboard and more.
Chief Veterinary Medical Officer Dr. Anthony Pease, DVM, and Program Director of Veterinary Initiatives Crystal Vaquera, LVT, RVT alternate hosting the podcast, which features special guests from across the industry.
“The unique thing about this podcast is the collaboration between veterinarians and veterinary technicians,” said Pease in a news release. “The idea of making this inclusive of all veterinary professionals and even bringing in some human health innovations is what sets us apart,” he added.
The podcast name is inspired by the acronym used in veterinary clinics to document a patient’s medical information. Expanded, SOAP stands for Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan.
“The information we bring to listeners is comprehensive and useful, just as SOAP notes are to a veterinarian or veterinary technician,” said Vaquera. “We wanted to create an easy source of educational content with a personal approach for veterinary professionals to discover new opportunities, spend more time on the things they love, and earn the money they deserve.”
