Nine expert speakers will lead this course, with instructors focusing on nearly all aspects of clinical veterinary cardiology over four days of instruction. Veterinary residents-in-training can attend the course at no cost.
The Advanced Cardiology Review has been in existence in various forms for over 20 years. This year, the course will include 26.5 hours of lectures on cardiovascular physiology, pathology, hemodynamics and cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology and ECG interpretation, cardiac pacing, morphology and nomenclature of congenital heart disease, landmark manuscripts in veterinary cardiology and interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies to include echocardiography, angiography, and cardiac computed tomography.
In addition, a laboratory is offered demonstrating pathologic specimens from animals with both congenital and acquired heart disease. The review is focused on individual and group learning through collegial interactions and group discussion.
