In a dog in severe respiratory distress, focused cardiac ultrasound (FCU) findings of a severely enlarged left atrium and diffuse B-lines on lung ultrasound are corroborative evidence of left-sided congestive heart failure, whereas the FCU findings of a severely enlarged and thickened right ventricle with a flattened interventricular septum are indicative of right heart pressure overload possibly related to pulmonary hypertension.
