Nonprofit, The ElleVet Project, to bring its services to Florida in January to assist pets living on the street. The US company is the nonprofit arm of ElleVet Sciences, which markets companion animal CBD and CBDA products. During the January visit to Florida, ElleVet Project will give pet food, pet supplies, and veterinary care free of charge to local pets of homeless individuals, and street pets. In 2022, ElleVet Project has set a goal of treating 5,000 pets.
Veterinary care included in the January 13th and 14th event will include providing checkups, vaccines, flea and tick preventive, deworming, emergency care, as well as offering supplies at the Christian Service Center in Orlando, Florida. The event, like other provided across the country, is coordinated with local officials. Volunteers travel to the events in an RV called the “ElleVan,” and include a team of veterinary professionals who provide their services at no charge. Medical supplies and other items are also donated.
"People told me that by giving medical care to their pets, it literally allowed them to put food on their own tables," said Amanda Howland, co-founder of The ElleVet Project. "We are excited to offer these invaluable services to the pets of Orlando."
