Neogen expands genomic testing through a partnership with Gencove

Animal genomics company, Neogen Corporation, strengthens its investment in the space with a continued partnership with Gencove Inc., a genomics software firm. Through the multi-year worldwide agreement, Gencove and Neogen will pave the way for Neogen to offer its SlimSeek low-pass sequencing technology. 

The next-generation technology will provide better genomics data accuracy to customers in canine, bovine, swine, and agricultural poultry industries. "We are pleased to strengthen our partnership with Gencove and continue working together to develop animal genomics solutions," said Marylinn Munson, VP of genomics at Neogen. "The continuation of this agreement demonstrates our dedication to providing cutting-edge genomics services that provide valuable information, analysis, and exclusive benefits to agricultural professionals around the world."

The collaboration expands a partnership that was originally launched in January 2020. That combined effort led to solutions that allow customers to sequence breeding populations.
