“Dr. Tran’s appointment marks a significant milestone for Roseman University as we advance plans for our College of Veterinary Medicine,” said Dr. Katherine Fogelberg, founding dean of the proposed college. “Her extensive experience in clinical education and her visionary leadership will help us create a program that prepares graduates to meet the evolving needs of the veterinary profession.”

Tran is widely recognized for her contributions to veterinary education and her commitment to creating learning environments where all students feel supported and empowered to succeed. She has championed initiatives that promote collaboration, professional growth and access to opportunities within the veterinary field. She has held leadership roles with organizations including the Multicultural Veterinary Medical Association, serving as past president and founding board member, North American Veterinary Community, Veterinary Virtual Care Association and American Veterinary Medical Association’s Animal Welfare Committee.

“Beyond her impressive credentials, Dr. Tran is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment,” Fogelberg said. “Her passion for mentoring and advocacy will be invaluable as we build a college that reflects Roseman’s values of collaboration, innovation and community engagement.”

Tran earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis, and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

“I am honored to join Roseman University at such an exciting time,” Tran said. “The opportunity to help shape a new College of Veterinary Medicine that emphasizes innovation, collaboration and community impact is truly inspiring. I look forward to working with Dr. Fogelberg and the entire team to create a program that prepares future veterinarians to meet the demand of Nevada and the surrounding region.”
