Kane launches bluestem oral care line

Kane Biotech Inc. to launch its bluestem line in PetSmart Canadian online store. The products are for oral care of pets and are intended to reduce biofilms, including tartar and plaque, that form in the mouth.

“We’re happy to be working with PetSmart to help improve the quality of oral care for Canadian pets and to forge what we anticipate to be a mutually beneficial relationship going forward,” said Kevin Cole, CEO of STEM Animal Health.

The pet products utilize the brand’s coactiv+ substance that helps to safely break up the biofilms that form primarily with a water-based formula. The products do not require an animal’s teeth to be brushed to become active. A recent study conducted by Kane Biotech, found that the product reduced build-up, or calculus, on teeth by 25.4% compared to control after 84 days.

STEM Animal Health Inc. was launched in 2020 as a collaboration between Kane Biotech and Animalcare Group PLC, based in the UK.
