PM launches insurance for pets

Insurance carrier, Physicians Mutual, has added coverage for pets, with the addition of Physicians Mutual Pet. The coverage would include cats and dogs.

Under the company’s plan, coverage can be customized with various options. Cats and dogs of any breed or age can be covered in 34 states which the plan is available.

Adding Physicians Mutual Pet to our line of products is a perfect fit as we know how much joy our pets bring into our lives," said Rob Reed, president and chief executive officer at Physicians Mutual. "We all want to help keep our pets happy and healthy, and we don't want the financial worry when they need care. We developed Physicians Mutual Pet to provide that peace of mind so pet parents know they're getting the coverage they need and their pets can receive the best care possible when and where they need it."

The pet coverage also offer the option to have a pet treated with any veterinarian and depending on plan, the deductible can be as low as $0. Dental, vaccinations, and wellness exams can also be added to plans.
