vetEvidence, Grupo Asis join forces

vetEvidence and Grupo Asis have reached an agreement for the former, a market research and data management services company, to become part of the latter, a leading communication group in the veterinary sector in Spain.

The transaction, in which Edra has acquired 100% of vetEvidence’s shareholding through its Spanish subsidiary company, Grupo Asis Biomedia, took place on Aug. 1.

Through the acquisition, Edra reaffirmed a commitment to drive vetEvidence’s growth through the expansion of its data management and specialized consultancy services, as well as the company’s growth.

Xavier Blancafort, founder of vetEvidence, said in a news release that “this integration is a necessary step to strengthen and expand our range of services for companies in the sector and will allow for our territorial expansion.”

Giorgio Albonetti, president of Edra, said that the “acquisition of vetEvidence boosts our strategy of offering valuable services in the business data sector that contribute to the development of the veterinary sector.”

Francesca Romana Imbrighi, Edra country manager for Spain and general manager of Grupo Asis, also said that she and her team look forward to collaborating Xavier Blancafort, a leading expert in the veterinary medicine market.

“This will allow us to better support our customers’ strategies,” she said.
