Petco Health and Wellness Company, Inc. has made changes to its organization and added new roles to be primed for growth. The change to its organizational design includes adjustment to its leadership roles, and is a reflection of an effort to make the customer top priority.
Chief merchandising officer, Amy College will manage demand planning in order to drive an integrated and precise view on product and customer demand. Former senior vice president of services, Jason Heffelfinger, will now act as chief services officer.
"These appointments and our organizational design are emblematic of our focus on putting the customer and data at the center of everything we do as we meet the customer need of a single partner for the health and wellness needs of their pet,” said chief executive officer of Petco, Ron Coughlin. “It also manifests our dedication to driving operational excellence. Lastly, it highlights the tremendous talent we have at Petco and our focus on developing that talent.”
In addition, Darren MacDonald, currently digital and innovation officer will move to an expanded role as chief customer officer. He will manage teams that include customer service, enterprise analytics/data science, marketing, membership, and loyalty.
Chief pet care center officer, Justin Tichy, has been promoted to chief operating officer, and will oversee logistics and distribution centers. He will still run the company’s US Pet Care Centers and work to improve distribution channels to stock inventory at each center as needed to meet demand.
Mike Nuzzo, chief operating officer and president of services, will leave Petco.
