The North American Veterinary Community (NAVC) and Veterinary Innovation Council (VIC) will hold the Veterinary Innovation and Media eCommerce Summit August 27-29 in Kansas City, Missouri. The meeting will mark the first time the summit has been hosted jointly by NAVC and VIC.
Sessions will include discussion of how the veterinary industry was impacted by COVID-19, and how the industry continues to change.
"Pet owners are sending our industry a message and driving change in the way they want and expect their pets to receive care," said Gene O'Neill, CEO of NAVC CEO past chair of VIC. "The Veterinary Innovation + eCommerce Summit provides professionals the platform to discuss and design the future of the veterinary profession alongside global leaders in animal health. The most creative and innovative minds will gather to analyze and uncover the emerging trends in veterinary care, including where the profession is headed and how veterinary organizations can compete and thrive in the animal health industry."
Telemedicine and other online applications, digital care tools including behavior trackers, and changes pushed by a younger generation of pet owners are highlights of the program. in addition, genomics and other advancements will be examined. A pitch competition for $10,000 will also be held in the exhibit hall between three identified organizations.
