CareVet, a multi-state independent veterinary hospital operator, has added access to vacation properties to its veterinarian benefits. Through the new offering, qualifying veterinarians at practices that are part of the CareVet network will be able to access vacation properties at no cost. The addition is part of CareVet’s Ultimate CarePackage.
“We are thrilled to be launching Carebnb,” said Dr. Kent Thornberry, co-founder at CareVet. “The program was designed with our veterinarians in mind – the veterinarian that shows up to the hospital and the person that exists outside of work.”
Through the initiative, the burnout that can occur among veterinarians is hoped to be lessened. According to a 2020 survey, less than half (39%) of DVMs were happy with their work/life balance, compared to 61% of US workers surveyed.
The vacation destinations include mountain cabins and beach condos, and can stays can be alone, with family, or friends. In addition to vacations, the Carebnb offering includes staycation options and short-term experiences like “#WFH Wine from Home” and “Backyard Cinema.” Carebnb is accessible through CareVet services online.
