Shepherd Veterinary Software company has added a pet portal to its offerings. The software combines practice management, prescription refills, and appointment request management.
“Veterinarians are seeing more patients than they've ever seen,” said Dr. Cindy Barnes, DVM, CVSMT, founder of Shepherd Veterinary Software. “Having easy-to-use, intuitive, adaptive software streamlines practice management and decreases the stress load. I'm happy to share that we're furthering that initiative with our new pet portal - now available directly inside Shepherd.”
The company’s veterinary practice management software, or PIMS, is intended to be used in the same way that veterinarians already operate. The technology can be integrated into automated programs and SOAP-based medical records.
The software is hoped to streamline communication between staff and clients and let veterinarians spend more time providing care. Appointment requests and prescription refills can be completed through the platform. "Shepherd users are alerted to new requests directly in the software to view and take action when time permits, simplifying their daily workflow,” said Dr. Barnes. "This is a must-have feature for today's busy practices."
