Nonprofit veterinary professional organization, North American Veterinary Community (NAVC), will lead its first virtual meeting specifically for veterinary nurses and veterinary technicians. The summit, called "Level Up: Veterinary Nurses & Technicians," will become an annual event hosted in mid-October to coincide with Veterinary Technician Appreciation week.
"The NAVC is dedicated to helping our veterinary nurses and technicians reach their full potential every day, so they can continue to deliver their best to all who depend on them: veterinarians, clients, and, most of all, patients. This is particularly important and timely given the surge in pet ownership and their owner's desire to provide the best veterinary medical care possible," said Gene O'Neill, chief executive officer of NAVC. "The veterinary nurse virtual summit will enable veterinary nurses and technicians all over the world to participate and benefit in a learning forum many otherwise would not be able to attend. It's very exciting and furthers the NAVC's commitment to support the entire veterinary healthcare team."
The Level Up event will award CE credits to attendees who learn from the sessions, which will center around a theme of Patient Advocacy. Sessions are planned on topics such as anesthesia and management of pain, behavior, emergency care, and wellbeing. Registration is now open for the October 16th to 17th event. The virtual summit is free to attendees due to a sponsorship from Vetoquinol.
