NEL Animal Medical Foundation Named ‘Asia’s Best Animal Hospital’ for Excellence in Heart Valve Surgery at Asia's Best Animal Hospital Awards 2025
NEL Animal Medical Foundation (NAMF) in Korea has been honored as an award winner at the inaugural 'Asia's Best Animal Hospital Awards 2025'.
This award is significant as it officially recognizes NAMF’s world-class capabilities in highly advanced fields, such as 'mitral valve repair'—considered one of the most complex surgeries in veterinary medicine.
The award ceremony was part of the inaugural Asian Small Animal Hospital Leader Summit (ASAHLS) 2025, held during the 5th Asian Small Animal Specialist Veterinary Conference (ASASVC) in Wuxi, China, from October 14 to 16. Hosted by China's West-East Small Animal Veterinary Conference (WESAVC), the event awarded only 17 elite hospitals from 16 Asian countries following a rigorous evaluation.
NEL Animal Medical Foundation was named one of the four hospitals representing Korea, alongside Koryo Animal Medical Center, VIP Animal Medical Center, and Jamsil ON Animal Medical Center. This strong collective recognition clearly demonstrates the high standard of veterinary clinical practice in Korea.
In particular, NEL Animal Medical Foundation was recognized for promoting the reliability of Korean veterinary medicine by reporting international-standard surgical cases with high survival rates. Its proven success in mitral valve repair, supported by a state-of-the-art Intensive Care Unit (ICU), was acknowledged as meeting the highest international standards.
NEL Animal Medical Foundation stated that it is an honor to be recognized alongside Asia's top hospitals at the inaugural awards ceremony. It also said that the award is a testament to the dedication of the foundation’s entire staff, especially the cardiac surgery team, who are devoted to saving lives. NEL Animal Medical Foundation is proud that its expertise in heart valve surgery has been internationally recognized.
The foundation also added that it will continuously strive to achieve world-class heart valve surgery technology so that more companion animals can move beyond management to a complete cure for their heart disease through this surgery.
