Veterinary technology startup specializing in oxygen devices, Aeronics, Inc., has launched a collaboration with MWI Animal Health to bring its oxygen system to pets. The company's Pawprint Oxygen Canister system provides oxygen that can be used in the veterinary office, during transport, or at home. MWI is an animal health product distributor and is part of AmerisourceBergen's company.
"This collaboration demonstrates a shared commitment to innovation that puts a new standard for oxygen delivery in the hands of veterinarians," said Blake Dube, CEO of Aeronics, Inc. "Respiratory distress is a pervasive problem in veterinary medicine. Our goal is to empower veterinarians with tools to administer oxygen in any situation without the need for a heavy tank or expensive equipment. MWI's knowledge and reach in the veterinary market makes them the right partner to make this system accessible to veterinarians."
Pawprint can be prescribed to pets who have respiratory distress or related diseases. The device system can be purchased through MWI, which operates 18 distribution centers across the country.
