Compliance document and animal disease tracking company, GlobalVetLink, has added to its compliance software to aid veterinarians in gathering and completing the paperwork needed to certify pets for travel internationally. The company's offering with its Compliance Assistant software as a service (SaaS) platform, which is typically utilized for electronic management of health records and compliance, has been broadened under the new addition of the "GVL Pet TravelPass."
The new software supplement can be used for animals traveling for various reasons, including as companions, and for production, breeding, or competition, such as horses. The program validates travel entry rules by country to ensure that the correct forms have been identified and filled out. Veterinarians using the software are prompted through a stepwise process which, upon completion, will generate forms, including an International Health Certificate, Rabies Vaccination Certificate, and Certificate of Veterinary Inspection, each in formatting required by animal health authorities.
"GlobalVetLink knows every veterinarian wants to feel confident doing what they do best, which is delivering a broad range of services to their clients," said Gary Ambrosino, chief executive officer of GlobalVetLink. "The GVL Pet TravelPass eliminates the hours of research and preparation required to create accurate and compliant International Health Certificates for owners traveling with their pets. Our new Pet TravelPass automates this process and gives veterinary practices a new and profitable service to offer to pet owners."
