Opal Pets launches supplement to enhance homemade diet

Opal Pets, which produces vegan nutrition products for animals, has launched Perfect Powder, a plant-based product designed to provide amino acids, vitamins and minerals essential for dogs.
"Do you want your dog to be healthier, live longer, or just stop itching?" said Lindsay Carvalho, founder and chief executive officer of Opal Pets, in a news release. "Opal and Perfect Powder are here to show dog parents that it's possible to feed your pets fresh, plant-powered food instead of dry little pieces of meat cereal.”
The powder supplement was created to provide amino acids, B vitamins, calcium, taurine, L-carnitine, and other nutrients. The formula is completely vegan and is made with organic Canadian sea kelp and omega-3 from algae.
Carvalho said when she began feeding her rescue dog a homemade vegan diet, she realized he loved the variety, but she could not find a nutritious supplement that she felt good about feeding him.
"We want to make it easy to feed your dog a fresh, whole-food, plant-based diet at home,” she said. “With the help of veterinary nutritionists and formulation partners, we've prioritized the utmost transparency with each ingredient right from the beginning. Everything we use is 100% vegan, non-GMO and made in the U.S.A."
