The Summer 2026 Issue of The Aesculapian - Out Now

New university findings highlight potential implications for veterinary patients, animal health, and veterinary practice.

In this issue, get to know the vets keeping UGA’s animal athletes game-day ready in “Championship Care,” and step into the lab with the VetMed researchers cracking the case on tuberculosis, malaria, influenza, and COVID-19 in “Disease Detectives.” The issue also profiles some of the people and patients who make UGA VetMed what it is: a graphic designer-turned-vet, a critical care specialist who thrives under pressure, a tenacious puppy saved by a novel heart procedure, and a recent grad’s path to join the family business.
